Sophia joined Health Quality BC in February 2022 as a Project Leader in the Measurement System for Physician Quality Improvement team. In the last 14 years, Sophia worked and provided healthcare quality improvement consultation for various health authorities and regulators in Alberta and BC.  Prior to that she was a program evaluation consultant, development planner, and journalist.

Sophia has a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Royal Roads University, an Honours Degree in Social Anthropology, and a Bachelor in Industrial Sociology and Fine Arts. She has continued her education by completing courses in Patient Safety, Lean Six Sigma, and Project Management.

Sophia has an interest in creating efficiencies in health care and in patients actively defining and owning the health care journey.
