Event Description
In this engaging and practical session, participants will explore the ethical foundations of quality improvement work and why they matter. As QI initiatives continue to grow in scope and complexity, understanding the ethical considerations that underpin this work is essential. Through real-world examples and interactive discussion, we’ll unpack key topics such as patient consent, data privacy, equity, and the distinction between QI and research. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of when ethical review is needed, how to navigate grey areas, and how to ensure their projects align with both organizational values and patient-centered care. Whether you’re new to QI or leading large-scale initiatives, this session will leave you a deeper appreciation for how ethical decision-making strengthens the integrity and impact of your work.
