ABOUT THE SPEAKER
Lawrence is a clinical instructor in family medicine at the University of British Columbia, in addition to practicing family medicine in Surrey. Lawrence is a Board member of the Health Data Coalition, an organization dedicated to providing primary care metrics for physicians. He led the department of family medicine at Surrey Memorial Hospital for many years and is on the Board of his local Division of Family Practice. He’s a graduate and Faculty of the Doctors of BC’s Physician QI program where he facilitates workshops in Joy In Work for Clinicians. An Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) trained QI Coach and Advisor and a graduate of the IHI Joy In Work program, Lawrence also now coleads provincial alumni engagement for physician quality improvement.
