Colin joined Health Quality BC in November 2020 as a Leader with the Health System Improvement team. Prior to this, he was the Chief Technical Officer of a medical device start-up. Colin founded the company, inventing and developing products for surgery and radiotherapy. More recently, he has been an active patient partner, helping to start the province-wide Primary Care Patient Voices Group.

Using his experiences with device innovation, Colin strives to implement meaningful change with process improvement. He values authentic collaboration and the pursuit of knowledge to benefit patients and providers. Growing up in Vancouver, Colin earned two bachelor’s degrees in Integrated Engineering and honours Economics at the University of British Columbia. Outside of work, he enjoys hip hop dance classes, as well as competitive outrigger canoeing and dragon boating.
