Tracy Watson
Communications Leader
Tracy joined Health Quality BC in October 2022 as a Communications Leader.
Tracy is an experienced communicator and storyteller with more than three decades of experience in marketing communications and journalism. For the last 12 years, she has been a leader on Interior Health’s Communications team, where she was responsible for brand management, strategic communication planning, and was editor of IH’s storytelling blog. Most importantly, as part of the team that successfully relaunched the IH public website, she helped people in B.C.’s Interior region understand how to better access and navigate the health care services they need – whether in their day-to-day lives, through wildfire and flooding, or the COVID-19 pandemic. She also participated in IH’s Person and Family Centred Care Steering Committee which, in collaboration with public committee members, works to co-design quality, culturally safe care systems that puts the person at the centre and respects them as partners in decisions about their care.
Tracy holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Communications from the University of Regina.
