Bryan is a geriatric psychiatrist with an interest in quality improvement particularly in the care of the elderly. He completed his MD and psychiatry residency at the University of British Columbia. During his training, he also completed fellowships in Addiction Medicine and then in Geriatric Psychiatry before beginning practice in Vancouver.

He is currently working as a geriatric psychiatrist at the UBC Hospital Short Term Assessment and Treatment (STAT) Centre and with the Vancouver General Hospital Geriatric Psychiatry Consultation-Liaison and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) services. He also works in the community and at long-term care centres in Vancouver with the Cambie Older Adult Mental Health Team. Bryan has recently completed a quality improvement project on improving the disposition planning process for complex patients on the VGH Acute Care for Elderly unit. Through this fellowship, he hopes to continue working towards improving system level care for geriatric patients in our hospitals and community.
