Sarah Chapdelaine – Evolving the Language We Use to Talk About Mental Health

We asked Sarah Chapdelaine, an occupational therapy student at the University of BC, to tell us and a few hundred of our friends about her hopes for health care. She did so through a Pecha Kucha presentation at Health Talks on February 26, 2014.

Sarah won the Health Talks Student Contest, in which students from across BC submitted their hopes for health care. A second year Masters of Occupational Therapy student, Sarah hopes for us to evolve the language used around suicide as it relates to mental illness so we can remove stigma, facilitate recovery for those at risk and help heal those left behind.
