Caring for Caregivers
COVID-19 public health measures have led to considerable changes in care provision for people living with dementia across the settings in the care continuum, resulting in the need for family caregivers to significantly adapt their caregiving routine to accommodate these ongoing changes. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on family caregivers’ knowledge about the pandemic, their ability to provide care for and/or visit family members and the effect of pandemic-related public health messaging and measures on family caregivers and people living with dementia’s outcomes.
