Anthon has been instrumental in advancing primary care to rural, remote, and First Nations communities throughout Canada through compassionate, collaborative and servant leadership.
He currently holds two roles with the Rural Coordination Centre of BC as the Rural Personal Health Record Lead and Data Informatics & AI Physician Lead. He serves as an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia and the University of Northern British Columbia, and in 2015 he was recognized by the Canadian College of Family Physicians as one of Canada’s family doctors of the year.
His extensive experience also includes past roles as co-chair of the General Practices Services Committee, President of the College of Family Physicians of BC, and Chair of the Northern Interior Rural Division of Family Practice.
