Leader, Health System Improvement


Kelly joined the Council in January 2021 as a Leader with the Health System Improvement team. She holds a BA in Political Science and a MA in Human Geography, both from the University of Northern BC. Kelly has applied her education broadly working in academic, government, non-profit, and health organizations. Prior to joining the Council, she worked for nine years with Northern Health as a consultant and then as an employee in the Medical Affairs and Indigenous Health departments.

Kelly has certificates from IAP2 in Foundations of Public Participation and Facilitating Engagement; she has completed Coaching Out of the Box, CORE LINX, and San’yas Indigenous Cultural Safety training. She brings 20+ years of research, project management, facilitation, and engagement experience to the Council.

Outside of work, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband and two ‘fur babies’, reading, camping, exploring the outdoors, and heading off on international travel adventures. She is passionate about learning and is always looking for a new challenge.
