This initiative’s goal is to improve the health and safety of patients across BC through systematic developments in Emergency Department discharge information.

Learning objectives:

  • Describe how a QI project adapts over time to fit changing contextual needs
  • Define Process Measures, Outcome Measures, Balancing Measures with examples specific to a QI initiative
  • Apply strategies and tools to initiate and manage a quality improvement project including PDSA cycles and patient and clinician engagement
