Andrew Brown: Embracing Machine Learning to Benefit Our Parents

Andrew Brown is a data scientist working for Fraser Health. He has worked in health care since 2013, starting as an operations researcher for Northern Health then Fraser Health. After extensive self-training in machine learning, he started working as a data scientist first at local health care SaaS start-up called New Hippo Health and more recently back at Fraser Health.
Throughout his career, he has leveraged his post-secondary training in mathematics from the University of British Columbia where he earned a Bachelors of Science Mathematics and from the University of Waterloo where he earned a Masters of Mathematics and a Masters of Applied Science.
