APPLAUD – Ideas to Action Sheets

In the second learning session of the APPLAUD Action Series, participants broke out into different groups to ask discuss the following topics:

• Engaging with your Patients about Alcohol: Motivational Interviewing and Patient Scripts
• Medication Selection and Timing
• Accessing Additional Supports and
• More about the AUD Guidelines

These conversations were documented and transformed into “Ideas to Action” sheets, which provide actionable tips for common challenges faced within each topic, including:

• How to standardize or simplify screening for AUD?
• What tools and information will be helpful for selecting AUD medication?
• What resources or tools will be helpful for supporting patients access additional supports in the community?

This document was brought to the third learning session, where groups explored these sheets to develop PDSA cycles.
