CLeARing a Path to Improved Care for Residents with Dementia
This Quality Café webinar explored some key factors for success in supporting health care teams with improvement using a collaborative model. The Call for Less Antipsychotics in Residential Care (known as CLeAR) is a provincially-coordinated initiative to improve quality of life for residents in long-term care by reducing inappropriate antipsychotic use, particularly for residents with dementia. Using CLeAR as an example, we described the collaborative model and discussed the importance of data collection, including how to support point-of-care teams to track and analyze their own data, and use it to drive improvement.
