Dena Kanigan: Living, Loving and Laughing at End of Life

We asked Dena Kanigan to tell us about her hopes for health care. On February 24, 2016, Dena talked to us about her experience as a nurse in a long-term care facility, and about the joy and dignity she works to bring to those at end of life.
Dena is a registered nurse who specializes in geriatrics and palliative care. She has spent the past eight years working at Castleview Care Center, a 45-bed long-term care home in Castlegar, BC. Her passion lies in providing quality of life for residents and their families, and helping them have dignified, peaceful deaths.
