Event Description
Climate change is the biggest health threat of the 21st century and we all have a role to play in reducing the carbon footprint of health services. Patients, families, and health care professionals are all well positioned to be effective champions for climate solutions, and partnering together will get us closer to a climate-friendly health system. Many patients are willing to talk about greener alternatives to their care (e.g. low-carbon inhalers) and are also advocates for advancing lower-carbon health care processes and treatments.
Learning Objectives
After the webinar, participants will be able to:
- Discuss how patient and health care professional partnerships can be an effective way to make and sustain improvements in low-carbon clinical care.
- Identify opportunities in your own clinical areas where you may be able to incorporate the patient and family voice in environmentally sustainable quality improvement.
